Zinnias, and sweet peas
We now have a better idea of the size. There will be lots of room for old cars, a hoist, work areas and storage.
My little vegetable garden (grown completely from seed) has been in for approximately eight weeks. I have been weeding and watering faithfully and it is paying off – particularily for my 24 tomato plants. They are abnormally huge!! They are about 4.5 feet tall. No shit. Beans and onions are happy and growing tall too,
Friday June 29th
Our cornfield across the road is thriving. The stalkes are generally about 4 feet tall. I can’t help comparing “our” field with others across southern Ontario and to my mind…. we are doing brillantly. Am I crazy to feel pride?
One of the little things I love about my life in Prince Edward County is the mail delivery. Our postman’s name is Tony. He drives on the wrong side of the road, where all of the individual mail boxes are located. On the days that we have mail Tony flips our red flag up which indicates that we have mail.
I know that a rant about computer troubles is sooooo boring but let me just explain that I have had all sorts of problems over the last few weeks. For example, I have tried countless times to update this blog’s header with an old gnarly tree with leaves. (I want to stay current and seasonal), but this stupid machine will not allow me to download. I have wasted hours on this
