Waiting for rain.

It is dry.  No rain.  Our gardens are dying.  The County’s water table is seriously low.  We did two things this week to hopefully improve the situation.

I bought rain barrels for all of my down spouts  (boring I know)  and…… we laid irrigation water pipes from my neighbour’s pond over to his large field of vegetables.   Helping us with this job was Warren’s sister Cathy and her husband Phil, who are visiting from Kamloops.

Laying the pipe

No big surprise that I claimed the job of photographer when they were delegating the duties.   I tried, when ever possible, to stand in the shade,  hold the camera and just take pictures of the activity.

Gary (my neighbour) puts on his waders for the messing job coming up                                                Above is a photo of Warren rolling out the pump
