Scrub a dub dub, Molly in the tub

Important company is coming later this week so it was time to spruce things up.  On my list was Molly our Irish Wolfhound dog.  It has been over a year since she had her nails clipped and a bath.  Molly hates the groomers more than she hates getting into the car.  Fortunately I located a wonderful groomer/dog trainer who makes house calls.  Richelle has a definite gentle touch with dogs.

Molly weighs more than 145 pounds.  She does not fit into any tub.  This was  going to be an outside job.  In preparation I filled up several containers with the water hose and let them sit in the sun to warm up.

Richelle came with a neat leash which wrapped around Molly giant mid-section and also tied onto her collar.  My job was to hold Molly down so she didn’t bolt.  Richelle is a skilled groomer and she  took extra  time to build trust, nevertheless poor  Molly was a wreck.

In the end, when she eventually dries, Molly will be one sweet smelling fluffy dog.  She may never forgive me though.
