PEC Lavender Festival

I must confess …..after the workers were fed lunch, I slipped away.

Today was the first day of the 1st Annual PEC Lavender Festival.

I had to see it.

There were acres of gorgeous purple fields.    It turned into a beautiful day and the blossoms blew gently in the summer breeze.  Beautiful shades of intense colour combined with heavenly scents.  Paradise!

PEC Lavender farm is located at 732 Closson Road in Hillier.  They grow a number of different lavender cultivars.  Some are used for their oils, while others are used for their beauty and culinary purposes.

The farm has a nice boutique which sells all things lavender.  They have body care products, pure essential oils, essential oil,  sachets, plants for the garden, and many culinary treats such as lavender salt, lavender sugar, lavender infused vinegars, and herbal teas.

I noticed they kept their own bee hives.  I guess this is to ensure pollination of the plants.

This would be heaven! We’ll have to add it to our list of things to do when we make it back down to the County. Thank you for bringing me lots of daily smiles. Jenn

I would love to hear your thoughts. I really, really love comments.
