Unfortunately, the former owner of our property had let the meadow and woods grow wild with bramble and nettle.  About five weeks ago I paid an arborist to come with a “bush-hog” and create a new path through the woods.  With the warmer weather and rain the brambles were starting to grow in again.  Yesterday my neighbour agreed to bring his Kubota over and drive through the woods again.   It is an amazing piece of equipment.  The blades are pulled along on a disc from behind.  They sit on four independent wheels.  Each can be lifted separately, if required.  It reminded me of landing gear on a space shuddle.  Wow…. This machine can really perform.  

This is my new path through the woods.   It is nice because now we can walk down to the water and do a loop back.  We never have to repeat our steps.
