A surreal day

Things were hopping around here yesterday.   It was an amazing day filled with action and discovery.

The dry wall guys were here all day working up stairs.  We are almost ready to paint and install tile in the bathroom (more on that project in a later post)

The excavator arrived around 10 and started digging for the new garage…. (pictures below)

This is a photo of the new work site:  Warren’s garage extension.

The excavator was digging up the roots of a large tree we had taken down for the addition.  The roots must have extended below the solarium because the glass rattled when the mighty claws sliced into the earth.

While all this digging was going on my neighbour invited me to drive over to a farm on Morrison Point.   This lovely farm was paradise.  Very very beautiful.

The highlight for me was a visit to the sheep pens.  This curious little guy ran right over to say hello

This lamb was only born a few minutes before I got there.  He hadn’t tried to stand yet.

Below is a photo of the whole gang.  This farm had about 15 ewes and 20 baby lambs.

I found this beautiful farm to be my idea of paradise.  Pure magic with spring flowers, ponds, and expansive green hills overlooking the water of South Bay.  The fields were dotted with grazing horses.  oh hhh.  Just beautiful.

In the evening Warren and I went to a meeting held at the town hall concerning raising backyard chickens.  (A possibility we will mull over during the winter months and maybe start next spring
