While I was away

ImageImageWhile I was away for four days this week, Warren did a month’s worth of activities.  He met tons of new neighbours. He walked Molly every day (that’s a shocker).  He finished building my garden shed – complete with shingles, windows and two doors.  He rented a bin and chute, hired three workers and gutted out the second floor.   It involved two trips to the dump.   Does anyone want an old claw foot cast iron bath tub?

He did all this before breakfast – (ha ha just kidding),  but he is rather amazing.

In 2013 my husband and I retired. We bought an old pre-confederation house out in the country. This blog is about our new world in the country as we explore all of life's possibilities.

  1. Because I adore historic homes and adding architectural details, I had to check out your renovation section!! I just came across the most amazing way to transform old claw foot tubs – I’m going to post it next week…

    • Sadly we gave away our tub to one of the workmen who showed an interest. We were just anxious to keep it out of the way. It was sitting on our front porch and our new designed bathroom did not have room for it. I will show a before and after picture of our new bathroom when I post it in a few weeks. It is going to be gorgeous with black marble floors. I am painting the window grills black too, and that idea I got off of your blog.

I would love to hear your thoughts. I really, really love comments.
